I’ve been in the film/video production field for 20 plus years. I started out as a young buck in the grip/electric department and learned the craft of lighting by working with some of the best gaffers and DP’s in the Washington DC/Baltimore area before relocating to Chicago in the late 90’s. The lighting experience I gained was crucial, and informs everything I do as a DP, from hand held run and gun situations to large set-ups with a full crew and talent. In this fast paced, ever changing world of production, I pride myself on being able to work efficiently and adapt to whatever situation I am in. I believe there is no substitute for experience, and my ability to understand the bigger picture of the project and work with both client and crew to get the images we need are what sets my work apart.
